BANGALORE: Communications service provider Tellabs today launched the new Tellabs 8000 network manager. The Tellabs 8000 network manager provides end-to-end management for 2G and 3G mobile transport applications, carrier class Internet and extranet services for corporate customers, business broadband Internet access and corporate voice services.

According to a Tellabs statement, the Tellabs 8000 manager helps service providers to minimize network operating expenses. It is the only system that enables service providers to control multiple Tellabs systems based on various technologies (TDM, Frame Relay, ATM, IP and Ethernet) with a single platform.

Mika Heikkinen, vice president and general manager of Tellabs, Finland, said, "Our new network manager enables reliable and flexible services, maximizing revenue and customer satisfaction."

"The Tellabs 8000 manager is designed to meet stringent customer needs by providing redundant, carrier-class and user-friendly network management tools,” he added.
