NEW DELHI:In a bid to establish a strong foothold in the Indian market, Buffalo Technology, provider of design development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions, has launched a range of new wireless networking solutions. Japan based Buffalo has also announced the appointment of Nexgen Networks as its channel partner for its networking and wireless products.

Strengthening its business commitment and product portfolio in India, Buffalo has launched new products in the Access Point, Client Adaptor, Indoor Antenna, AirStation Pro Series and Storage categories.

The company would initially target the home segment for its products and would push the sales through the retail channel. Buffalo India Liaison representation Anju Thapa said, We are targeting 10 percent market share in the wireless and storage products segment in 1005-06. For NAS products we are targeting a market share of 10 in 2005-06 and intend to increase this to 25 percent 30 percent in 2006-07. Our focus of sales would be retail and then we would look at the SI channel.

The company has also outsourced its customer support service to Nexgen. Nexgen Networks partner DS Chouhan said, We basically deal in services and for Buffalo products need of services is more than just selling the products. That’s why we feel that our company is a strategic fit to Buffalo’s growth plans. We currently have five partners all over India. Currently, we are targeting North India with the help of the existing partners.
He added that in the next two months five new channel partners would be added in North India.
