BANGALORE: Akamai, a service provider for accelerating content and business processes online has launched a new service, Performance Analytics, to help online businesses determine the causes of errors and failures with their Websites and track performance over time.

The Akamai India Center was responsible for the implementation of this service end-to-end. The entire eco-system to market and support this service resides in the Akamai India Center. “This service will now allow us to offer website monitoring and diagnostic tools, as a service on-demand. Our customers will be able to track how well a website is performing and make informed business decisions on how to improve their online service,” said Sanjay Singh, Managing Director, Akamai India.  “It generates performance and error reports that help identify and resolve web site problems,” he said.

Performance Analytics will offer different diagnostic tools for monitoring, troubleshooting and trending performance of single web pages, multi-step web transactions, and online video and audio streams. Any business that deems its online presence a business necessity requires such a service. This is complementary to Business Analytics, which provides customers with metrics, reports and key performance indicators to track online user-behavior to help provide a more useful Web experience with relevant content and information.

Akamai is currently targeting its existing customer base with this service, which is yet to be launched formally.
