MUMBAI: Sanjay Jotshi has been appointed vice-president – Marketing, Nortel India, responsible for corporate marketing and Nortel initiatives in the market verticals of defence and Government in India.

In this new role, Sanjay is accountable for building and positioning the Nortel brand in the market place to drive growth in both carrier and enterprise segments throughout India and SAARC. He spearheads corporate marketing program, media and industry analyst’s relations and web strategy and is a key spokesperson for Nortel India while maintaining his responsibility for the Defense and Government vertical markets.

Sanjay has been with Nortel for more than five years and was instrumental in developing the Nortel enterprise channels. Before joining Nortel through the acquisition of Alteon, Sanjay was the country head for Alteon India, where he built up a major market share for Alteon in Web Switching.

A 16-year veteran in the networking industry, Sanjay has seen it through its various stages of evolution in India. Earlier stints include IXL, Godrej & Boyce, as well as Wipro where he headed the network integration business and grew it to No.1 position.

Based in Bangalore, Sanjay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from REC Srinagar, Kashmir University.
