NEW DELHI: Samsung Telecommunications India Ltd today unveiled Ultra Edition Series, a new line of slimmest mobile phones in India.

Featuring the slimmest phones in slider, clamshell, and bar form factors, this Ultra Edition transcends the current market offering by presenting consumers with unparalleled breakthroughs in technology while retaining simplicity of use.

The first model to be launched within the series is the Ultra Edition 6.9, making it the world's slimmest bar phone ever to be launched. Samsung Ultra Edition SeriesMade with fiberglass re-infused plastic, the phone is 6.9mm thickness, packing along with it a 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, direct TV out function, 80 MB memory apart from a host of other features.

Ultra Edition 12.9 (D900), the slimmest slider phone and the Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830),the slimmest clamshell phone will be launched in the subsequent month.

Speaking on this occasion Ihn-Chul Chung, senior vice president, said, “Samsung’s foray into Ultra Slim phones is part of the company's aggressive global strategy to take on the leadership position in the mobile phone market.
