HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services is planning to focus more on the telecom vertical while continuing its stranglehold on the manufacturing business.
According to Satyam’s chief financial officer Srinivas Vadlamani, the company has identified telecom as a huge growth potential area.
“Telecom is among the mature verticals,” he said.
Vadlamani said that Satyam is also looking at investing in other verticals also.
“We have classified our verticals into mature, growing and nascent or emerging. Among the growing and emerging verticals, we have retail, travel, transportation and logistics, energy and utilities, and healthcare,” he explained.
Regarding technology, Satyam would carry on its focus on Application Development and Management Systems (ADMS) besides Infrastructure Management Service (IMS), Vadlamani said.
He added that Satyam aims to achieve $1.45 billion revenues by March 2007.
