Will Lenovo dive into Indian mobile market?

Channel speak

Most partners are unaware of the Lenovo mobile phones. Raj Agarwal of Cell Compu Systems in Siliguri felt that the brand would do well if it introduced its handsets, since the telecom market is on the upswing. gBut they have to make sure that they price the product well, which I donft think will be a problem, since Chinese manufacturers are known for giving low-priced products.h

Amir Khan of Cell Point in Hyderabad too was surprised to learn that the IT major also has mobile handsets. He felt that the company should launch the product, especially since its laptops are gaining brand recall and the company can leverage on this popularity for its telecom products too.

One enthused Lenovo retailer said he could not wait for the company to launch its mobile products. gI can bundle the handsets with the laptops and offer my customers a good mobility solution from a single brand.h

Products on hand

V821 is a clamshell phone with 2 MP camera. It has the feature to playback Mp3 and MPEG4 files. The last one is the V517 is a slider phone is targeted at women.
