NEW DELHI: Hard disc drives supplier Seagate Technology today announced that two new national distributors, Supertron Electronics Ltd (SEL) and Fortune Marketing Private Limited, have joined its existing distributors Ingram Micro and Redington, in a distribution network that enhances the availability of Seagate products across India.

Leveraging the combined strength of all four-distribution partners, Seagate intends to grow its market share leadership in India, as confirmed by reports from independent market researcher AC Nielsen and the PCQuest magazine, Seagate said in a statement.

Supertron Electronics Ltd is one of the country's leading distributors, with a major presence in local areas. Headquartered in Kolkota, it is ranked among the Dataquest top-ten distribution club. Fortune Marketing Private Limited has a vast network of over 2,500 dealers and offices, providing market penetration and the unique ability to support end-customers in the retail segment.

Seagate's customer support network in the country includes its 43-city SeaCare program manned by trained staff, a SMS (Short Message Service) Customer Care offering, which guides users to the nearest service centers or gives the status of warranty, as well as mobile service vans catering to the trade hubs in New Delhi and Mumbai.
