BANGALORE: Hitachi Data Systems, application optimized storage solutions provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, today announced the appointment of Rahul Guha as director for channel development for the India market, responsible for structuring and executing the overall India partner plan.

“We have aggressive goals to meet in the SMB space which makes channels extremely significant for us. Rahul's appointment is a step in the right direction in leveraging our extensive resources to the benefit of the company's channel partners,” said Glen Carroll, acting channel chief of APAC, Hitachi Data Systems.

Guha will focus on outlining the partner mix across the enterprise and mid market segments, building a strong partner family and ensuring leadership status for Hitachi Data Systems in India.

Armed with a BE and an MBA, Guha has worked with Symantec where he was in charge of distribution and SMB channels across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

He was also with Computer Associates as channel manager.
