BANGALORE: Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., today unveiled India’s first Application Optimized Storage (AOS) Laboratory in Bangalore. The 5,000 square foot facility will be used for demonstrating company’s storage solutions to clients in India.

The AOS Lab will feature controller-based storage virtualization, storage management, performance management and consolidation. Most importantly, it will allow customers to configure and deploy storage infrastructure that is optimized for their applications. This will be a huge advantage because it will provide customers with an application view of the storage infrastructure.

Speaking at the launch, P.P.Subramanian, managing director, Hitachi Data Systems India Pvt. Ltd., said, “One of the key objectives of the lab is to keep pace with newer technologies.”

Currently, the AOS Lab will address the needs of Hitachi Data Systems customers in India. Some of the tests such as proof of concepts, stress tests, configuration management, storage management, consolidation and performance management will be offered at the AOS Lab and will be equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software. The AOS Lab will have hardware and software and will be managed by an expert team of professionals from Hitachi Data Systems.
