BANGALORE: Network Appliance, Inc. said it has received the SAP compliance and certification for its storage systems.
The NetApp-developed storage plug-in provides customers with the capability to dynamically provision storage over IP. NetApp unified storage solutions in support of SAP NetWeaver help customers reduce their total cost of ownership (TCO), simplify data management and increase the flexibility of their data infrastructure.
According to NetApp statement, it is one of the first storage vendors to complete compliance tests for adaptive computing in a Microsoft environment. The compliance tests, delivered through NetApp IP SAN storage solutions, were achieved using a NetApp developed storage plug-in.
Additionally, NetApp Data ONTAP 7G software is now Certified for SAP NetWeaver, supporting the WebDav for SAP data archiving interface, which empowers customers to archive data directly using the XML-based archiving service from SAP solutions.
Customers can now benefit from a single NetApp storage architecture that supports the adaptive computing capabilities and XML-based archiving service of the SAP NetWeaver platform.
Patrick Rogers, vice president of Products and Partners at Network Appliance, said, "NetApp is focused on providing unmatched simplicity to sophisticated enterprise environments with massive data requirements and demanding performance needs.
“Today NetApp is reinforcing our value in the data center with integrated and simplified data management for SAP business applications and by providing customers with access to powerful and scalable NetApp Manageability Software capabilities," he added.
