MUMBAI: Antivirus firm Trend Micro India today released the latest versions of its messaging security products, InterScan Messaging Security Suite and InterScan Messaging Security Appliance.

In a press release, it also announced a new, hosted service for enterprise customers, the InterScan Messaging Hosted Security, in India.

InterScan Messaging Security solutions integrate multi-tiered anti-spam and anti-phishing with anti-virus and anti-spyware to protect e-mails. The solution uses innovative and predictive techniques, such as zero-day protection, advanced heuristics and behavior analysis, to block targeted attacks, the statement said.

Additionally, with a scalable platform and centralized management for easy administration, the solution blocks standalone, blended-threat and targeted attacks at the gateway.

Trend Micro said its InterScan Messaging Security solutions include three distinct anti-spam tiers integrated into one solution: Network Reputation Services, patent-pending IP Profiler and spam detection technology.

Network Reputation Services and IP Profiler stop most threats at the connection layer, securing the network and preserving bandwidth, storage and other resources. The anti-spam engine thwarts any remaining threats, the statement added.
