BANGALORE: Aventail today announced the launch of latest version of its SSL VPN remote access platform, ST2.

Building on Aventail's award-winning SSL VPN platform, Aventail ST2 introduces new features in three key areas that detect the identity and security of the end point, protect applications through granular access controls, and connect users securely to applications. This makes it easier for organizations to control remote access.

Paul Beaudry, director of Technical Services at James Richardson International, said, "After examining many products, we chose Aventail ST2 as the best choice for our remote access control. Features like quarantine zones and device watermarking make it easier to control threats while providing access for our users on the road, at home, or in the office."

Evan Kaplan, CEO, Aventail, said, "With this latest release, Aventail continues to lead the way in building a comprehensive enterprise access control solution."

More and more organizations will use Aventail as a key part of their Network Access Control (NAC) initiatives, providing easy-to-use and easy-to-manage access control to solve the need for productive, anywhere access while at the same time safeguarding the organization's valuable data and applications," he added.

Aventail ST2 SSL VPN will be available in August 2006, distributed via Aventail's worldwide channel of resellers and service providers. Pricing starts at $ 3,995 for the Aventail EX-750, a full-featured SSL VPN appliance tailored to small to mid-sized enterprises.
