NEW DELHI: Netgear Inc. has launched ProSafe Wireless ADSL Modem VPN Firewall Router (DGFV338), aimed at small and mid-sized customers.
The DGFV338 is a six-in-one security appliance to deliver the business features that are not available in the current DG product line. A member of the ProSafe business-class product family, the new product is designed for reliability, ease of use, and affordability, Netgear said in a statement.
The DGFV338 supports high-speed WAN connectivity with a built-in ADSL2/2+ modem and a backup Ethernet WAN port for providing failover support. With the ability to support up to 50 IPSEC VPN Tunnels, the ProSafe Wireless ADSL Modem VPN Firewall Router is the right product for businesses seeking to provide network access to remote sites or mobile users.
It further supports Stateful Packet Inspection and Network Address Translation. Wireless access is secured with the support of WPA-2 Enterprise encryption. "Providing a business-class ADSL2/2+ gateway solution has been one of the outstanding requirements of our customers internationally," explained Vivek Chugh, product line manager at NETGEAR. "Our new ProSafe DGFV338 extends our popular ADSL2/2+ gateway line by providing ProSafe business class features with higher security, VPN capabilities, and stronger antennas in a sturdy blue metal case."
The DGFV338 is available in Australia and throughout Europe via leading direct marketers, e-commerce sites, and value-added resellers at a list price of US$420.
