NEW DELHI: CipherTrust, Inc., a messaging security provider, today announced the launch of CipherTrust IronIM (IronIM), making CipherTrust the first vendor to offer gateway security appliances for both e-mail and instant message (IM) communications.
Powered by CipherTrust's award-winning policy engine, IronIM is the first solution that integrates policy to secure, log, monitor and encrypt enterprise IM communications, the company said in a press release.
IronIM provides administrators with increased control from a single management platform to block IM-borne threats, help ensure compliance with various industry and government regulations, and monitor for information leakage or other policy violations.
Unlike simple software or firewall solutions that independently block content or access, IronIM is the first offering to stop inbound and outbound messaging threats at the gateway, before they enter or leave the corporate network.
Additionally, IronIM offers automated encryption capabilities for enterprise IM traffic. The launch of CipherTrust's IronIM is part of the company's ongoing strategy to provide unified security protection across multiple messaging protocols.
