HYDERABAD: Embedded Infotech Pvt. Ltd, an embedded systems and networking products and services company, would release the new versions of its flagship products, AuthAgent Kerberos, and AuthAgent X.509 early next year.

Vinay Kolli, managing director, Embedded Infotech, said, “Every device that is connected to the network needs security of data and authentication. We provide both. Customers can implement digital identity using our flagship product suite AuthAgent that includes AuthAgent Kerberos, AuthAgent X.509 and AuthAgent Radius.

We are coming out with next version of AuthAgent X.509 and AuthAgent Kerberos early next year along with enhancements of other products,” he added.

However, Kolli didn't further detail on the features of the upcoming versions.

Embedded Infotech's AuthAgent Suite of products is a set of authentication protocol implementations that can be used either standalone or easily glue into various network and system security protocols.

The company stated that the AuthAgent family of products provides flexible and configurable authentication methods. AuthAgent X.509 is an implementation of public key and digital certificate authentication and can validate certificates issued by a trusted Certificate Authority (CA). It supports features such as certificate generation and revocation.

On the other hand, AuthAgent Kerberos is a standards-based implementation designed for embedded platforms and enables authentication in network clients and services. It allows organizations to leverage enterprise network Kerberos servers to authenticate services and clients running on embedded devices such as networking and storage equipment, connected smart appliances, and remotely managed industrial control applications.
