BANGALORE: Fortinet, provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions, today announced that the shipments of its network security appliances and complementary secure messaging, management and analysis systems have surpassed 2,00,000 units.
“Enterprises must protect their networks against a massive array of cyber threats as well as meet regulatory requirements. Security practitioners are realising that this can’t be done with a point-solution approach, which is difficult and expensive to manage and maintain,” said Richard Stiennon, Chief Marketing Officer for Fortinet.
“Fortinet is the only company with a comprehensive security platform built from the ground up to provide multiple layers of threat protection and management – translating into better security through integration and a ‘future-proof’ solution that can easily scale with business requirements. Our shipment numbers show that the market is clearly adopting our solutions, and we’re very proud of this achievement,” he added.
FortiGate systems deliver network and content protection to enterprises and service providers of all sizes through the integration of eight essential security applications and services – antivirus, firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), anti-spam, anti-spyware, web filtering and traffic shaping. FortiGate systems are complemented by Fortinet’s FortiMail, FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager product families.
