Fortinet introduces FortiGate-3600A

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

BANGALORE: Fortinet, provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions, today introduced the FortiGate-50B, a high-performance, full-featured multi-threat security appliance for enterprise branch offices, retail outlets and small businesses.

The FortiGate-50B delivers network and content protection through the integration of eight essential security applications and services - antivirus, firewall, virtual private networking (VPN), intrusion prevention (IPS), antispam, antispyware, Web filtering and traffic shaping.

“Enterprise branch offices are faced with similar network security challenges as their larger counterparts, yet have far less on-site IT resources to manage and maintain their infrastructure,” said Freddy Mangum, vice president of product marketing for Fortinet, “The FortiGate-50B provides the security, performance, connectivity and reliability that an enterprise branch office needs in an integrated, easy to manage solution.”

FortiGate-50B incorporates new-generation FortiASIC to deliver increases in antivirus and VPN performance over previous models. It also adds several new connectivity options for increased availability and configuration flexibility.
