NEW DELHI: Trend Micro India today announced Network VirusWall Enforcer, its second-generation enterprise class Network Access Control (NAC) appliance, which ensures all devices to comply with security policies before granting access to corporate networks.

Trend Micro, a Tokyo-based corporation, is a provider of network antivirus and Internet content security software and services.

Malav Patel, Global Product Marketing Manager, Network VirusWall, said that the new product integrates all aspects of NAC with anti-worm capabilities in to one simple appliance.

“Network VirusWall Enforcer is easily deployable and with minimum burden in large enterprise networks around the world. It also help ensure that employees, contractors, partners and visitors connect to corporate networks using a secure, virus-free device,” Patel said.

He said that it also extends the benefits of Trend Micro Enterprise Protection Strategy, a comprehensive, multi-layered solution framework that protects against known and unknown threats. The application delivers the enterprise-class policy enforcement that businesses need to protect their IT investments and end users.

Niraj Kaushik, country manager, Trend Micro India and SAARC said that security compliance is a big issue in organisations today and just having policies is not enough. “A recent study has revealed that more than 70 per cent of Indian corporate still do not have formal corporate security policy. Organisations need the ability to enforce those policies and to be able to demonstrate that the enforcement is systematic,” Kaushik added.

“It combines granular policy enforcement and automatic worm prevention. It is a flexible, cutting-edge solution that enhances the benefits of enterprise protection strategy by enforcing security policies, supporting compliance objectives and enabling swift recovery within quarantined network segments,” Patel added.
