NEW DELHI: The Siemon Company, a manufacturer of network cabling systems, has announced the launch of MAX line of RJ45 style modular outlets/jacks, a part of its screened augmented Category 6 (Cat 6A) solution, that can significantly reduce the termination time for the F/UTP cable to less than three minutes.

According to Rajesh Kumar, country manager, The Siemon Company, "All Siemon products are designed with the installer in mind. Siemon has been successfully selling its screened and shielded products throughout Europe for several years and we are now seeing an upswing in demand for these products in the US and other market geographies as well. Like all Siemon solutions, the entire end-to-end 10G 6A F/UTP solution carries an inclusive 20-year system warranty when installed by a Siemon Certified Installer."

The streamlined termination and grounding process is based on multiple timesaving features and configurations. The MAX's unique "tool-less" design eliminates the need for punch-down steps while maintaining augmented category 6 channel performance. All that is needed is standard channel locks and a cable preparation tool such as Siemon's Allprep tool.

Once the jacket and foil are prepped, all 4 pairs are easily laced into an integrated termination/strain relief cap. The jack's outer body is then clamped over the cap, mass terminating all pairs and simultaneously ensuring shield continuity without the need for separate grounding steps. Used with Siemon TERA®-MAX patch panels, the modules self-ground when snapped into the panel.

Available in flat, angled and keystone versions, 10G 6A F/UTP MAX Modules terminate all screened and fully-shielded (S/FTP) cable constructions in 22-24 AWG (0.65 – 0.50mm) size conductors. They are compatible with both T568A and B wiring schemes. Siemon's full 10G 6A F/UTP channel consists of the screened 10G 6A MAX outlet, a new smaller diameter Siemon F/UTP cable and TERA-MAX patch panels as well as screened 10G 6A MC patch cords and the screened version of Siemon's innovative high-density BladePatch patch cord. The system is supported by multiple work area faceplates and surface mount options in addition to a full suite of Siemon rack and cable management products.
