BANGALORE: ProCurve Networking, a business unit of HP and enterprise LAN switch vendor, was named the leader in wireless local area network (WLAN) infrastructure in a report by Forrester Research.

According to the Forrester Wave WLAN infrastructure report, ProCurve has been selected due to its enterprise-class feature set, newly available wired integration options, and overall superior support.

Subhodeep Bhattacharya, India country manager, ProCurve Networking, said, “We are proud to be recognized as a leader in WLAN infrastructure by Forrester. The Forrester report reflects ProCurve’s wireless product strategy and dedication to deliver complete mobility solutions that fortify security, improve productivity, and reduce the complexity and operational expenses typically associated with wireless networks.”

The report evaluated ProCurve’s current offering and strategy for WLAN infrastructure against approximately 54 criteria. The report also discussed its unified management approach – which enables customers to integrate and manage wireless as a seamless extension to the wired network.
