NEW DELHI: To tap a larger market share in the converged communication solutions space, Extreme networks is targeting the mid-size enterprises in India.

With 50 customers base in India, the company aims to generate a major revenue share from the mid-size enterprises. Scott Lucas, senior director, Solutions Marketing, Extreme networks, said that the mid-size enterprise market is growing at a rapid pace and the company would target this segment.

“Our target customers are mainly from the mid- and large-enterprises across the vertical. Currently we have been witnessing a phenomenal growth in the mid market, and which provides us an opportunity to boost our business,” Lucas said.

The company has a strategic partnership with Avaya global Connect for marketing their products in India. Extreme products are available in the Indian market for almost two years through the Avaya channel partner base.

Lucas said that the rate growth in the Asia-Pacific region has been the highest compared to any other region across the globe.

Speaking about the voice industry in India, Lucas said that around 25 to 30 per cent of the revenue is generated from the service providers. “We are also focusing on the this segment where the telecom industry in India is witnessing a major growth. We expect to add more revenue from the telecom segment,” he added.

Dinesh Sehgal, head Converged Business Unit, Avaya said that they have recently launched an exclusive channel partner program for the Extreme products. The program has been named as “High Five”, where the partners would be from IP telephony and networking background.

“We are already in to talks with 30 to 35 partners for marketing the Extreme products across the country. As of now this program is exclusively for the Extreme product partners, who would be end-to-end convergence player,” Sehgal said.

Avaya would train the channel partners about the Extreme products and they would be certified by Extreme Networks to market their products in India.
