SINGAPORE: The French cellphone maker Wiz4com along with the Finnish Mobile TV supplier Axel Technologies and the Italian TV and Radio broadcasting system company Elettronika, announced today their forthcoming co-operation. The new international consortium will join forces to develop solutions for the fast growing Mobile TV markets.
The consortium will introduce their co-operation in Broadcast Asia, Singapore in June 19-22, and in IBC, Amsterdam September 7-11. "The first co-developed product release will be in Q1 200," informed the company officials.

"The consortium holds unique and fulfilling expertise needed for innovative solutions in the field of Mobile TV. We see significant potential in this co-operation and we believe the capability for successful business of this consortium".
Petri Kalske, CEO of Axel Technologies said, "The future of television will be mobile, interactive, converged and ubiquitous. With this consortium, we are now able to improve standard based and open solutions."

Mobile TV is today one of the hottest topic in the whole business of broadcasting and telecommunications. DVB-H, the technology which took its first commercial steps during June 2006 in Italy, is in fact the first real connecting element between the TV broadcasting world and the latest generation cellular telephone networks. It is expected that there is a huge business potential for Mobile TV services.
One of the key goals of the new consortium is to offer new end-to-end solutions for small and medium sized operators and broadcasters. The consortium will complete its supply also with third party solutions.
