NEW DELHI: Mobile handset manufacturer Motorola will ‘Indianize’ phones in future to cater to the needs of the market here.

Talking to CyberMedia News on the sidelines of launching the MotoRokrE6, Lloyd Mathias, marketing director for Motorola India said that the new offering from the Motorola platform has been ‘customized’ keeping the Indian consumer in mind.

“MotoRokr, a PDA from Motorola platform is an entertainment phone, preloaded with 3000 songs especially for the music lovers,” Mathias said, adding that the special feature was the wireless headset, which is available along with the phone.

Mathias added that the Motorola’s future offerings in India would have content targeting the Indian consumers. He said the content of Motorola’s next offering of Moto-Q in India, which is to be launched later this year in both GSM and CDMA variants, will also be customised, according to the Indian market needs.

According to the Industry analysts Motorola adopts this strategy as it aims to combine style, multimedia content and entertainment into one hand-held device, which would be more than just a phone.
