BANGALORE: WAN and WiFi solutions provider, Microsense today announced its readiness to offer end-to-end WiMax solutions across the country.
Microsense has also developed flexible authentication and billing systems for WiMax network for providing service to individuals and enterprise.
Pune and Bangalore are the front-runners for providing citywide broadband wireless access, launched by the respective government authorities. Both the cities are in advanced stages of preparedness.
Microsense has successfully completed the RF blueprint for WiMax and metro Wi-Fi deployment in Pune along with Intel and the Pune Municipal Corporation. The company has also been short-listed by the government of Karnataka as its top vendor for Unwire Bangalore initiative, a Microsense statement said.
Kailsanthan, managing director of Microsense, said, "WIMAX is an extremely important technology which is expected to have far reaching impact on all aspects of telecommunications in the future, including data applications, mobile data applications and mobile voice communications.
“We have spent already more than a year in building expertise and applications for this technology. Going forward, Microsense expects to provide professional services internationally for city wide networks using WiMax and metro WiFi technologies and also service provisioning independently and in partnership with telecom service providers,” he added.
At the invitation of Karnataka government, a pilot project for providing broadband wireless access connectivity has already been installed in Vikasa Soudha and the Multi-Storied Building Complex in central Bangalore.
Microsense has built over 500 hot spots across the country and the Wi-Fi provider in the hospitality sectors, with installations in over 80 premium properties in India and overseas.
