"We have captured the notebook and have begun investigating the event," a Dell spokeswoman said, confirming that the laptop was made by Dell. In December 2005, Dell had to recall a batch of 22.000 batteries due to overheating issues. There have also been reported incidents of Mac laptops bursting into flames.
