BANGALORE: IT solutions provider 3i Infotech has launched at Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Orion@Apparel, a suite of software products to address the technology and automation needs of India’s booming apparel industry.

Orion@Apparel will help garment manufacturers, exporters, and buying houses to automate, measure and enhance the entire supply chain in real time.

The suite comprises Orion operator efficiency monitoring system, product tracking system, quality audit, line planning and Gerber WebPDM.

By implementing this end-to-end system, an apparel manufacturer will be able to integrate his entire operation while providing management with online, real-time access to all processes at the click of a mouse, 3i Infotech said in a statement.

Additionally, they will be able to identify lapses in the supply chain, determine their causes and fix these through the system. The software is also capable of facilitating pictorial representations of the functional pipeline thus making for an interactive user interface.

Anirudh Prabhakaran, chief operating officer, South Asia, 3i Infotech Ltd., said, “Tirupur is Asia’s largest apparel hub and almost 80% of the country’s manufacturing is headquartered out of this region. Additionally, given the huge export market that it addresses, it has become essential for manufacturers and agents to match international standards and processes. Orion@Apparel is launched keeping these factors in mind. It will provide the market with the tools that will help it reach high levels of production and process optimization while making individual players competitive in both the local and global marketplace.”
