Chennai: Sundaram InfoTech Solutions (SIS), the IT arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd., has bagged the Microsoft award for the Best Partner-South for its ‘Microsoft Dynamics’ ERP solutions. This annual feature of Microsoft is aimed at selecting the best partner for specific regions based on various parameters, with business performance being a key metric.
Neelam Dhawan, MD, Microsoft India and Rajeev Mittal - Group Director SMS & P, Microsoft India presented the Best Regional Partner award to Srinivas Acharya, CEO, SIS.
SIS’s choice as the best partner was based on its performance on the ‘Microsoft Dynamics’ Axapta ERP front, having brought in several new customers as well as selling ‘most licenses’ for Microsoft’s ERP. Sundaram Infotech is also a Microsoft Gold certified partner for its ‘Dynamics’ ERP solutions.
In the last 2 years, SIS has gained solid expertise in Microsoft’s Axapta ERP offering and today has the largest pool of certified Axapta professionals in the country.
Commenting on the award, Srinivas Acharya, CEO, SIS said, “This award reaffirms SIS’s position as the leading Microsoft ERP implementation partner. The award is expected to further strengthen our association with Microsoft and increase SIS’s visibility with customers as a leader in the ERP space.”
Microsoft Dynamics is a line of ERP Solution that automates and helps improve financial and customer relationship as well as manufacturing and supply chain management.
SIS had earlier this month announced the setting up of the Axapta ERP Academy to impart specialized functional and technical training on Microsoft’s Axapta ERP. SIS is targeting to train over 100 professionals on Axapta ERP.
SIS, which focuses primarily on the Financial Services and Manufacturing verticals, is currently in the process of hiring over 500 professionals and will be trebling its headcount in Chennai to over 750 employees. On the infrastructure front, SIS, which has a 50000 sq. ft. software development facility in Chennai is targeting to double its presence to over 1,00,000 sq. ft. this year.
