MUMBAI: Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) has deployed Oracle-based IT infrastructure to enhance customer satisfaction and employee interactions with in the company.

This will enable Maruti to achieve improved efficiencies and better business controls, as well as synergizes its people, processes and products.

Jagdish Khattar, managing director, MUL, said, "We are continuously improving our processes across the entire value chain, starting from Maruti suppliers through our internal operations, to dealers and finally to Maruti customers. The new IT system will ensure efficiencies, better service, lower costs and happier people in the Maruti family."

Krishan Dhawan, managing director, Oracle India Pvt Ltd, said, "The implementations at Maruti and the two other Suzuki companies in India are proof of how Oracle is delivering customer value by enabling leading global manufacturing companies to meet their business critical needs by leveraging Oracle applications and technology.”

Maruti, which has been ranked at No.1 in the Customer Satisfaction Index by JD Powers Asia Pacific Inc. for the last six consecutive years, embarked on this IT implementation project last year. The project, which uses Oracle Applications on top of Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware, is aimed at stimulating the company's value chain for business excellence through an innovative IT system.
