NEW DELHI: MindTree Consulting has announced its tie up with LANSA, an Australia-based, provider of application development and integration software.

Through this partnership, MindTree will be the Indian reseller and implementer of InsureIT, an Interactive Internet Transaction Processing framework for insurance companies.

InsureIT is an e-Commerce and Quotation Management framework catering to the needs of the general and life insurance categories. It provides insurance companies and brokers with a fast, efficient and easy way to build web-enabled insurance products. It increases the automation efficiency of the Indian insurance industry, thereby enhancing the industry’s maturity.

InsureIT allows insurers to connect with both customers and channels to market, and also offers special facilities for call center, staff and management access.

Insurance companies can now develop an interactive web presence, which links in real time to their back-office policy administration system. A sophisticated rating engine is also provided, together with the option to link to external rating engines if required.

MindTree, senior vice president and head System i and Mainframe Practice, Rajan Narayanan said, “We are bringing to the Indian insurance sector an e-commerce framework for insurance products that is robust, efficient, easy to maintain, and more future proof than any other solution available today. This means that insurance products can be built exceptionally quickly and maintained easily by non-technical users.”

Insure IT is a framework developed by MDC Information Systems, based in Dublin, Ireland.
