The certification program is aimed at evaluating the Calibre and Calibrating the Knowledge Worker.

At a HR Roundtable, titled “Globalizing People Skills”, National Steering Committee on Curriculum Framework 2005 chairperson and University Grants Commission and Former Chairman Prof. Yash Pal said, “The positive aspect of call centers is that they recognize that work incorporates the practical pedagogical aspects of education. The proposed National Curriculum for Schools for the first time recognizes the importance of work in education and work as a pedagogic component of education”.

On the occasion, Prof. Yash Pal also unveiled the website and BPO newsletter of the CCAI. CCAI has provided a network for members to jointly address challenges facing the call center industry and explore the $20 billion export opportunity by promoting India as the preferred call center destination.

CCAI, which is re-christening itself as BPIAI or Business Process Industry Association of India, has now entered into a partnership with CII to broad base their activities to cover total BPO industry.

The organization would now work towards promoting overall retention in the BPO market, develop India Industry Retention Standards, promote BPO focused training targeting improving the profession's performance and perception and organize roundtables on important topics like security (information risk management), business development, telecom, etc. in different metros.
