Chirala is Altair's India service V-P

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Altair Engineering, a leading global provider of simulation, advanced computing and enterprise analytics solutions, has appointed Panduranga Rao Chirala as vice-president of Altair Product Design India.

Rao has over 25 years of experience in product development, business development and engineering services.

In this new role, he will have primary responsibility for Altair’s consulting services operations in India and support the company’s global product development consultancy business with off-shore capacity. He will be responsible for managing and growing India-based engineering service team for product design.

Prior to joining Altair, Rao held management positions at Vama Industries, Mahindra Engineering Services and worked with organizations like Hero Honda Motors Ltd, Satyam Venture Engineering Services, Mahindra & Mahindra and Vehicle Research & Development Establishment.
