China Web game mkt to hit $750 mn in 3 years

SHANGHAI, CHINA: China's Web game market is set to more than double to 5 billion yuan ($750 million) by 2013 as Internet usage expands and major online game companies shift to create more web games, a research firm said on Tuesday.

The size of the Chinese Web game market is expected to balloon to 2.28 billion yuan this year, compared with 990 million yuan in 2009, iResearch said in a report.

China's Web game market was expected to reach 25 million users by the end of 2010 and more than 60 million by 2013, up from just 15.5 million last year, iResearch said.
