China to help with PM's Smart Bharat vision

The Taiwan Institute for information, renowned for its information society programs, will provide its expertise to ICA’s ongoing digital India initiative

MUMBAI, INDIA: The antagonism at the borders aside, China has willingly jumped the fray to enable PM Narendra Modi realize his Smart Bharat vision.

For this, the Taiwan Institute for Information Industry recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Cellular Association (ICA).

According to the MoU, the Institute for Information Industry (III) Taiwan–a global leader in digital technology deployment and information society programs-will provide its expertise to ICA’s ongoing digital India initiative-Action Centre for Smart and Broadband Bharat (ACSBB).

The agencies will co-operate in national optical fiber network, smart cities, Internet of Things (IoT), machine to machine interface (M2M) and other technologies under the Digital India Program.

“Our partnership with the global leader in digital technology deployment and information society programs will speed up swift realization of PM Modi’s vision of Smart Bharat,” said Pankaj Mohindroo, National President, ICA.
