China mobile subscriber total rises to 815 mn

BEIJING, CHINA: China Mobile, China's largest mobile carrier, said its total mobile subscribers in September rose to about 569.8 million, including 15.3 million 3G subscribers.

China Unicom, the country's No. 2 mobile carrier, said its total mobile subscribers increased to about 162.1 million for the month, including 10.6 million 3G subscribers.

China Telecom said its total mobile subscribers rose to 83 million in September.
