MUNICH, GERMANY: A new Messe München white paper discusses the desirability of China, India and Eastern Europe to the electronics industry from the perspective of six industry leaders. The white paper entitled "How China, India and Eastern Europe are changing the global electronics market" reveals how execs regard these regions with respect to such factors as low cost manufacturing, steadily rising energy costs and wages, worker flexibility and adaptability, regional infrastructure, environmental regulations and IP security.

These factors, in turn, affect electronic companies' decisions about what products to develop and where to manufacture them.

Much of the information was derived from a live interview last year with top executives from Atotech , Panasonic, Orbotech, Siemens and Tyco Electronics.

This white paper is one in a series of papers that treat subjects of special interest to the electronics community. A previous white paper "How to get the most from your visit to electronica 2008 in Munich" provided help for those traveling to Munich for electronica 2008.

The electronica white paper can be downloaded free of charge from electronica 2008.
