Chennai’s IT pros crack coding challenge

CHENNAI: Krishnam Raju Jampani has won the "Verizon Coding Challenge", the coding contest for technology professionals based in Chennai. Verizon Data Services India Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of New York-based Verizon Communications, sponsored the contest.

More than 2,000 Chennai IT professionals had registered for the contest. This contest presented the programmers algorithmically challenging problems to solve in a timed environment, head to head against their peers. Competitors were allowed to use a number of popular programming languages to compete in the events, including Java, C++ and Visual Basic. TopCoder, a US based company specializing in online programming competitions, conducted the contest for Verizone.
