Check Point ranked number one in worldwide firewall market

 

BANGALORE, INDIA: Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that the company led worldwide market share forFirewall Equipment in Q2 2013, according to research published by Gartner.

Gartner writes that "as the first line of defense between external threats and enterprise networks, firewalls need to continually evolve to maintain effectiveness, responding both to changes in threats and changes in enterprise network speed and complexity."

• Check Point led worldwide market share with 22.4% of the Firewall Equipment market in Q2 2013.

• Check Point's number one market share position represented a 7.7% lead over the nearest competitor ranked in the Firewall Equipment market in Q2 2013.

• Check Point increased Firewall Equipment market share 0.8% in the three months from Q1 2013 to Q2 2013.
