Check Point intros security solution for SMBs

CHENNAI: Check Point Software Technologies Ltd, a provider of security services and solution, today announced new UTM-1 Edge N and Safe@Office N appliances delivering gigabit firewall performance starting at just $750.

The desktop solution is designed to meet the needs of small and medium businesses and branch offices, the unified threat management appliances deliver enterprise-class security, including firewall, Intrusion Prevention (IPS), anti-virus, anti-spam, web filtering and remote access connectivity, said a press release.

The new UTM-1 Edge N and Safe@Office N appliances are based on the same Check Point technologies that secure 100 per cent of the Fortune 100.

These appliances include tightly integrated security and networking features, such as Gigabit Ethernet supporting high-performance networking capabilities and seamless 3G and wireless connectivity supporting the latest IEEE 802.11n Wi-Fi standards.
