Chandigarh gets its first HP World

CHANDIGARGH, INDIA: Expanding the retail presence of HP in B and C-class cities and aiming to provide exposure to partners in the retail arena, the vendor has opened HP World in Chandigarh in collaboration with Accord Computech. This is the first HP World in Punjab and Haryana. The vendor has more than 200 such stores across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of HP World, Naresh Garg, CEO, Accord Computech said, “We are the first partner who has been selected for the exclusive HP retail outlet in Chandigarh. This would definitely provide us better market position and a better experience for customers in the city to get aware of new products in market.”


Present during the opening ceremony, Aditya Murthy, Area Sales Manager—North India, HP India commented, “B and C-class cities are the emerging markets for IT industry, and the retail presence of HP would provide ease and convenience to customers to select their products.”


Murthy further added that the exposure through retail can play a major role in creating awareness about availability of new products and the company is targeting the upcountry market aggressively.

While tying up with channel partners for opening up franchisee of HP World, the vendor organizes training session for the selected dealers to train their staff.

“We hold training sessions for the employees of partners so that they are trained to handle customers in a professional manner. When we provide ambience to customers where they can feel and experience the products in a better manner, the staff should also be trained professionally to attend to visitors,” shared Murthy.



HP declined to share details of the investment that it has made on HP World for Accord Computech. HP World is an exclusive retail outlet that showcases all HP products under one roof ranging from printers, cartridges, desktops and notebooks.
