CEO of Flipkart’s strategic brands calls it a day

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Ravi Vora, CEO, Strategic Brands, Flipkart, has quit.

An IIM Bangalore and BITS Pilani alumnus, Vora was instrumental in developing the Flipkart brand in the e-commerce space over last four years.

An expert in brand development, he gave a free hand to his marketing teams across mobile, SEM, SEO, social media, email and affiliate marketing; and helped Flipkart reach a topline of $3B, a customer base of 30 million and a daily traffic of 10 million.

Before being named the CEO of Strategic Brands Group in January 2015, Vora was the SVP, Marketing, Flipkart between April 2012 and December 2014.

Vora has worked in senior leadership roles at Hindustan Unilever where he developed brands like Brooke Bond, Annapurna and Kissan.
