Cellebrum to be renamed as Spice Mobile VAS

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Value added service provider Cellebrum India is on a brand and image makeover spree. A company of Mcorp Global Group, Cellebrum India will be renamed as Spice Mobile VAS.

Offering telecom solutions, office automation and information technology and value added services, Cellebrum India is closely working with majority of telecom operators across the country.

Saket Agarwal, chief operating officer, Cellebrum in an exclusive interaction with CyberMedia News revealed the company’s plan for the revamp.

“All the entities of Spice with different names are being brought under the same umbrella. We will be known as Spice Mobile VAS,” Agarwal said.

He however, said that the objective and the role of the entity would remain the same by offering the expertise they have in the telecom sector. “We will continue to play the role of offering our services and expertise to our customers. But there will be certain changes in the set up of this entity with the formation of three divisions,” he said.

Mobile social networking, mobile advertising and mobile commerce are three divisions in the Spice Mobile VAS, which would be under the same umbrella of Spice Communications. Agarwal said that the three entities would continue to offer their services and expertise with new innovations for the sector.

“This entity will be the number one hub for rich entertainment and will prove to be an information center for future products and services for the industry. We want to be a technology enabler in a wire-free world connecting data source or application to any device and make the mobile phone an integrated communications device, with the ability to provide information and perform real time online transactions anytime and anywhere,” he added.

The retail arm of Spice known as the Hotspot will be known as Spice Retail and Omnia BPO Services Limited, a part of Mcorp Global Group, engaged in domestic call center services will be renamed as Spice BPO.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad has 46.89 per cent stake in Spice Communications Limited through TMI India Limited, Mauritius, wholly owned subsidiary of TM's international investment holding company TM International Sdn Bhd (TMI). Modi Wellvest Private Limited holds 48.8 per cent equity stake in the company.
