Part of the development of the product will be will be carried out in its

Hyderabad centre. ChromeLinux/webserver is the first product in the line of

communication infrastructure servers developed by Kirkland-based Chromium

Communications. The company has partnered with chromium to provide development

services and work on future products of chromium.

The ChromeLinux assignment requires Catalytic Software to focus on building a

hardware abstraction layer on micro-versioning technology that will enable

customer's systems to be updated remotely via the web.

Chromium communications is building a messaging platform that provides its

customers with a unified messaging experience across multiple platforms.

"We are working towards building the first "just in time"

software development infrastructure that would ensure that the customer

experiences no discontinuity between making a service request and finding an

answer for that or the necessary help," said the firm’s CEO Swain Porter.

The product will also be able to fix bugs, give products updates and custom

features remotely. The JIT (Just in time) is an approach to customer care that

ensures that customers receive immediately product support and updates.

Chromelinux is expected to be ready for testing and delivery in the next five

months. The development team deployed onsite to develop a range of products for

chromium will initially have 15 engineers that would later be increased to 125

engineers by the end of the year.
