TORONTO: CardioComm Solutions, Inc. announced that business partner Meditel, a web-based telemedicine services provider based in Milan, Italy, recently renewed a three-year contract for CardioComm’s patented and proprietary GlobalCardio 3-Lead event monitoring software to facilitate mobile ECG services. Meditel uses Global Cardio 3-Lead to record patient electrocardiograms (ECGs), create ECG reports and distribute those reports to the patient’s physician.

Federico Vago, Meditel’s Technical and Operational Manager, said, “The contract extension allows our customers, pharmacies, physicians and call centers all over Italy continued use of our services 24/7. They can use portable 12 leads or event and loop recorders (ELRs) to access one main server site where their records reside, and download and view their patient’s ECG data and history, regardless of the day or time. It quickly puts their patient’s personal cardiovascular information at their fingertips.”

Etienne Grima, CFO/COO for CardioComm Solutions, Inc., said, “Meditel has been a CardioComm customer since 2004. They are an innovative technology partner with a specialty in long-distance healthcare services. We look forward to providing continued support.”
