After having delivered quality service in the space of travel and bookings, Yatra.com is all set to enter the space of cab services. It has launched cab services by joining hands with taxi aggregators in 450 Indian cities through the mobile app.

Yatra.com provides reservation facility for more than 55,000 hotels in India and over 4,00,000 hotels around the world.

The cab service industry is buzzing with competition Yatra seems all set to compete against Ola and Uber in this space. Just like other marketplaces it will give customers options to choose from a large range of cars including hatchbacks, sedans, SUV/MUVs and vans. The Yatra.com press release explains, they can take a cab for one-way, round-trip and multi-city trips.

Yatra.com has joined hands with various taxi aggregators to offer cab services in 450 cities across the country, through its mobile app. The multi-city approach seems like the unique selling point for their cab services. It lets you compare and choose offerings of multiple cab aggregators, allowing the traveller the freedom to choose from a variety of service and price options.

Yatra.com co-founder and Chief Information Officer Manish Amin says, “at launch, we have aggregators offering both intra-city hourly cabs and inter-city taxi services.” In the near future, they will diversity and will tie up with intra-city point-to-point aggregators, as well as self-drive and carpooling options, he added.

This cab marketplace is said to provide hourly intra-city and outstation rides where bookings can be made up to two hours in advance.
