Canon unveils two new fax models

Canon has launched the L250 and the L300

fax models with fully automatic features such as automatic Fax/Tel switch, automatic

redialing and answering machine connectability. They also have expandable memory of up to

128 pages. Apart from this, the L250 and L300 also allow sequential broadcasting and

delayed transmission to up to 121 destinations, The Full Dual Access feature enables

incoming calls to be received into memory or stored during scanning.

The L250 and L300 automatically

re-transmit documents only from the page on which the error occurred and a special Error

Correction Mode (ECM) detects and corrects transmission faults due to phone line

interference.

A 14,400 bps modem offers a fast transmission speed of 6

seconds per page while Canon's Express Protocol II reduces "handshake time" to

lower transmission time and telephone costs. In addition, there is online transmission for

faxing and scanning at the same time, a scanning speed of 6 seconds per page and a

printing speed of 4 pages per minute.
