Candy manufacturer implements Oracle

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Technologies, on Monday announced that it has been chosen as a strategic partner for completing the implementation of Oracle JDEdwards Enterprise One 9.0 for Groupo Arcor, the candy manufacturers and one of the largest companies in Latin America.

The program called ‘Antares Program’ spans over a period of 4 years and is planned to incorporate a global and unique business process model in one single instance across all geographies and businesses of Arcor. Groupo Arcor was earlier running their business in multiple instances of Oracle JDEdwards comprised of various modules of Oracle JDEdwards across finance, manufacturing and costing.

“This implementation has boosted Arcor’s ability to realign to a more standard system , reduce customization by 70 per cent and consolidate the prevailing multiple instances of Oracle JD Edwards into a single Oracle JDEdwards Enterprise One 9.0 and thereby save on maintenance and TCO costs” said Oscar Botto, CIO, Arcor S.A.I.C.
