With the growing market of netbooks and an estimated growth rate of 13 percent from 2009, many new netbook models are constantly being released to the public. One website dedicates itself to helping consumers and businesses find and compare netbooks to help find the right one.

Steven Cortez, the owner of TopNetbookPicks.com says “Netbook sales will continue to grow steady. The netbook market carved out it’s own niche in the laptop market and has stood out from it allowing it to grow”.

Steven developed this website after seeing the trouble he had on his own finding and picking the right netbook for him when he decided to purchase one his own. “With so many netbook models, which one should I get?” basically started Cortez’ website idea.

“There are website that try and help consumers purchase them but fail at it by using to much computer lingo causing people to get even more confused and frustrated.” he says.

“We help by converting the computer tech-talk language down to something everyone can understand. I literally compare things to what we use and see in everyday life to help get a more mental picture.”

Netbook sales have increased tremendously since coming into the market a few years ago however new research says expect to see a decline in sales in the coming years. Cortez says this isn’t completely true. “Sales may drop but previous researched showed sales bouncing back up after a decline. Netbook manufacturers continually improve and tweak each newly released model to keep up with fast moving pace of technology.” he says.

Netbooks have been given a bad rap in the past due to lack of features they don’t contain compared to laptops. “They are not laptop, they are netbooks, and it’s a different market compared to laptops where as netbooks are primarily based around there weight and long battery life.” Cortez stated.
