Cadence announces winners of Design Contest at CDNLive India 2013

BANGALORE, INDIA: CDNLive 2013 concluded with the announcement of the winners of the Cadence India Design Contest for 2013. The eighth edition of the competition saw stiff competition from over 45 colleges and universities for both the Master's and Bachelor's categories.

The Indian Institute of Science won in the Master's category for their project titled "Low-Power Biomedical Platform" followed by IIIT Allahabad as the runner-up for their paper titled "A Low Power Asynchronous SAR ADC Using 180nm CMOS Technology."

In the Bachelor's category, the team from College of Engineering Guindy secured the first position for their work on "Power and Data Recovery for Cochlear Implant." The runner-up was the project titled "Design of Low Drop-Out, High PSRR LDO for RF Applications" by the students of BVB College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli.

CDNLive 2013 is Cadence's annual user conference. The annual conference is a prestigious platform that brings together subject matter experts and semiconductor designers to network and share best practices with a view to solving critical design and verification issues and understanding the latest solutions in low power, mixed-signal and advanced node design.
