NEW DELHI, INDIA: CA Technologies has announced a new solution in India that will help domestic enterprises connect their application development and operations team to work in a collaborative manner.

The company is targetting clients in retail/e-commerce, banking and financial services and government sectors for the new solution.

“In today’s application economy, every business is a software business and that has real and immediate implications for the operations teams who help ensure the availability of applications,” said Abhilash Purushothaman, Country Director, Enterprise Management Business, CA Technologies, India. “To stay ahead of the competition, cross-team collaboration is essential for faster deployments and constant innovation,” he added.

With the new capabilities in CA Application Performance Management (CA APM) and CA Unified Infrastructure Management (CA UIM) organizations can quickly troubleshoot and triage all applications, in any infrastructure and big data environment. Quality of service metrics from CA UIM can also be correlated and combined with CA APM performance metrics in a single screen so that DevOps teams have an end-to-end view across applications and infrastructure.

A commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of CA Technologies, found that the benefits realized by customers using CA APM included the reduction of outages by 60 percent for customer-facing applications, which avoided more than $4.3 million in costs over three years. By reducing the number of errors, CA APM also helped increase the productivity of developers by as much as 15 percent, resulting in a financial savings over three years that totaled more than $4.2 million.
